Whew!

We were busy all weekend! But we had a blast at every event. Here's what we did:
We went to the high school stadium for "Band Community Night." Ryan was excited to see the "marching bam" and kept good time with the drums.

But first, they had the field open! Ryan was ecstatic to see they had "Track and Field" which he's familiar with from XBox Kinect Sports.

Friday night lights! The kids take off across the football field.

And, of course, there was the band. :o)
Saturday was "Free Day" at many museums across the country. We chose the gorgeous fall day to visit Conner Prairie, all about life in the early-to-mid 1800's. The kids really loved it!

Ryan knows how to do it! Get someone else to pump the water, then reap the benefits of their labors! He took off to water the garden.

And of course Bella found all the animals there! She must have smelled good to the horse because it wouldn't leave her alone!

I bought Ryan an engine, and he used it on the rails at the depot.

Bella was excited to find a purse "reticule" to match the sunbonnet she got in Missouri. She looked the part quite well!

She was fascinated with the women riding side-saddle, so she gives it a try.
Bella tried on a dress, naturally.
The problem with photographing Ryan is that some part of him always comes out as a big blur...
Checking out the canoe at the Lenape Indian area.
Bella cookin' away in the kitchen.
In keeping with our lunch/nap/screen-free Sundays, we visited West Park. It was awesome for so many reasons!

This was the main play area: three slides leading up to the silo, which had all sorts of climbing things inside.
Ryan and the swings. That kid would keep his behind in one all day if I'd let him.

What the kids labeled "The Eiffel Tower." Bella (in her sunbonnet and completely inappropriate glittery flats) is on the right.

But she made it to the top!

Lots of benches for photo opps...
There was a garden that Ryan mistook for a race track...

And a great big pond (lake?) with lots of fish and...

Ducks! Next time we're bringing bread.

You can't tell how ridiculously tall this hill is in this picture but it was HUGE!
Bella running the zig-zag path down.

So much for the adorable, idyllic photo of my two angels!

I finally got him to hold still!

More of our adventures next week!
