Countdown to Christmas

I am so excited about Christmas this year! It's the first year that Isabella really understands what's going on, and Ryan's just along for the ride. I decided to keep things fun for us all by making an "advent" calendar of sorts. I copied off a ton of other bloggers came up with ideas for each day. We're also doing a countdown to Jesus' birthday (the sheet below the ribbon). Each day I read a sentence or two from the Bible, and we move Mary and Joseph closer to the stable.

Here's our ribbon countdown for activities (more pictures to follow), and the road to the manger.

Here's my calendar for the month. As you can see,
there's something for every day until the 24th! On my really busy days, I have  five things going on!

Activity #2: Make cupcakes for Jesus' birthday. Yep, we're early on this, but the kids loved it. (#1 was putting up their tree.)

Ryan did a good job! His quote for the night was "Mo mo!" (more!).

Not related to Christmas, we made these pipe cleaner crystal things. I did the snowflake and Bells did the "free form" pink one.
