September

Bella looks pretty serious in her police uniform! She got on a kick and wore it for days, putting it on a hanger and putting it on her doorknob.

Ah, cheap plastic glasses! These never fail to make me smile. Ryan usually wears his upside down, which is even greater!

A guy in our small group is a fire fighter, so we got the grand tour of the station.

We spent a picture-perfect day at the Fort Wayne Zoo-it was free! We were there for four hours and still didn't see everything. Here's Bella feeding the goats, before they got cagey and took a plug of her hair. She was so upset!

And this is Ryan feeding the goats. While Joshua and I were tending to Bella, we looked over and Ryan had his Capri Sun straw stuck through the fence for one of the goats. Even worse was that we didn't think about it until later, when he was drinking the SAME Capri Sun as the goats! Lord, protect my little Hooligan!

One of the highlights for the kids was getting to ride the train around the zoo. You can see how excited Bella is!

The Handsome Hasseld Men!

We got to walk through the kangaroo exhibit. There is no fence or gate or bars between us and the pack!
The kids as joeys...

My little hatchlings...
Anything that makes noise and Ryan's on it!

We're headed off on safari!
We could take a "ski lift" over part of the zoo. There weren't many animals to look at, but you can see by the look on Ryan's face that he loved it just the same!
We honestly didn't plan to all wear stripes that day!

And, I leave you with a video. This is Ryan's first knock-knock joke which he finds utterly hilarious. The fact that we always laugh at his laugh only eggs him on.
