Half-way to One!

Yep, my little man is already six months old. I printed out the "I'm 6 months old today!" sign but the second he saw it, it got mangled. In any case, here he is next to Pooh for comparison sake. Pooh is shrinking quite a bit! (I love that Ryan's shirt says "Little Man of the House.")

His patented deer in the headlights look.

And, of course, Isabella has to get in on the action!

LOVE the pudding goatee.

We dedicated Ryan two weeks ago and tried to get a family photo. You can see how well it worked! Isabella is pulling some kind of shenanigan and Ryan is her captive audience.

It looks really confusing, but this is a picture of our pastor, Brian, and his wife Laura giving us hugs.

Sure, Ryan's hair looks slicked down here, but by the time we got to church, his ever-present chicken hair had prevailed. It's his trademark and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I'm sure he'll feel differently.

Halloween! We had a Harvest Festival at church and I should have dressed the kids up as Eskimos-it was cold! I just pulled a "Chicago Halloween" and put Bella's costume over her coat. She went as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. Sure, Dorothy had cute little pigtail braids, but have you ever gotten Isabella to sit still for more than a minute? And Ryan was an adorable Tigger, if I do say so myself!

I like this shot. We're a cute family! :oD

I love this shot too! Little Bella standing next to her Easter basket with "Toto" inside.

One beautiful Friday, when Joshua had the day off, we headed to the apple orchard, the same one Bella had already been to. She talked about it all day-still does! Where she normally coos and dotes on Ryan and is always asking to hold him, on this picturesque fall day in the apple orchard, as we tried to get some great sister-brother shots, she decided she wanted nothing to do with him. If it weren't for the pumpkins holding him up, she would've left him laying on the ground.

Joshua is such a great photographer, that you barely notice my hand keeping Ryan from flopping over, no thanks to his sister!

Bella did not want to take any pictures-she was rarin' to pick some more apples! We had the scrawniest little things rolling around the kitchen for days (okay, okay, weeks!) before I used them to make applesauce which became applesauce muffins. Yummy.

We have this same shot of me with Isabella two years ago when we did our autumn trek to the pumpkin patch. I wish you could have seen his smiley little face!

Ah, Spaghetti-O face! Haven't we all been there?

The kids got a rare-and wonderful-opportunity to meet their cousins Lexi and Bri for the first time. It was actually my first time meeting Brianna too (I hope I'm spelling that right!).

More adventures next month as we head to Chicago for Ryan's first Thanksgiving!
