Home Sweet Home

Welcome to our home! This is our welcome mat that a friend gave to us, and the tile work Joshua did on our entryway. He designed it and did a fabulous job!

This is our RED diningroom. It looks pretty eye-popping here, and it is bright, but I love it. We are going to print pictures of Italy that Joshua took and put them on the walls.

Here's most of our livingroom-it's huge! You can see my "reading corner" behind the couch, and I'm standing behind the loveseat. Our TV gets 6 channels and 2 of those are fuzzy. :o)
This is our den, right off the livingroom. The desk is to my right. We have a fireplace! Once it gets working, roasted marshmallows will be a dietary staple. :o)

Here's the kitchen. We originally had turquoise picked out for the walls, but changed our minds and chose a color to match the light fixture, which was already in the kitchen. I think the blue is nice, especially with the white cabinets. (You can see the diningroom door on the left!) These are two views: the left is looking into the kitchen from the hall, and the right is looking into the hall from the sink. The doors on the left hide our washer, dryer, and pantry (thanks to my father in law for that great gift!).
And here's Bella's room-at least part of it. The other walls have the glider, her bookcase, and the TWO closets! She only uses one, but it's pretty full of girly clothes. This is the "oops" color-the paint store gave me this color and it wasn't what I had originally picked out, but it's the perfect shade now!

Here's our guest bath-or Bella's bathroom actually, since we give her her baths in the tub. It's the same taupe as the livingroom and den (handy color), but Joshua let me "girly it up" with the pink, and this awesome shower curtain my parents bought us. It has little bows on the powder puffs and maribou on the high heels. Cracks me up. Thanks, Joshua, for letting me do this to a room in your house! lol

And lastly, here's our bedroom. It's big too. :o) I have a walk-in closet and Joshua has a stand-in closet (being a little smaller, but still more than he had in Chicago). Two of the walls are chocolate brown and two are this bluish/light turquoise thing. We continued the theme in our master bathroom by painting the walls with the blue, but using brown towels and shower curtain.

But don't just enjoy the pictures, come see the place for yourself! We'd love to have you!
